Our established GP/DH group may be able to help you if you are a T2 geared/runed tank. We have GP and DH on farm and at times we are able to sub new tanks in to help gear them. They can then go on to either tank for another group in need, or start their own 10 man groups, having seen the content.
We do have a full roster and a waitlist, but with the popularity of the 10 mans and the amount of people wanting to raid it seems logical for groups to help out new tanks, get them some gear and learn the pulls/bosses.
We trialled this with Greta who now has a full set of cleric tanking gear, and this only took a couple of runs.
For your part, you will also need to do some work (it is not a totally free ride!!!). Please have your gear maxed out for T2s and a decent dps spec. You will be offtanking and dpsing (minimum 800 dps required) and will need to be spatially aware, and able to follow instructions. Our tanks can help you with spec and gear advice if you need it. We have 3 people in our raid who tank, so you can either watch them, or have a go at bosses like Anrak to get some practice. Whatever you feel ok with.
Raids are on Saturday at 5pm and run til 10pm server. You may be subbed in for certain bosses depending on group make up on the day, so please be flexible and able to work with us on that :) There are no cast iron guarantees of anything, I just would like to try to get a few more people geared. That is my disclaimer!
I am sick of runebreaking decent tank gear!!!!!!
(This is not a permanent spot as unfortunately we have no room, and I apologise for anyone who does not get to go, we can only take one new tank at a time and it takes a couple of runs to get their gear).
I challenge the other DH/GP groups to do the same. Rotate Spot 10 and help gear our tanks so more people can raid :)
