Have the names gotten any better since they said they would enforce the RP rules?
I left the game mostly because of the restraints in the wardrobe system, but also because I was tired of seeing non-RP names on Faeblight.
Really not trying to be negative here, just trying to decide whether to come back and try again or no.
The game content is an epic masterpiece, the souls that inhabit the player characters, regardless of their names, are all fascinating. RP is an option, and there are some people who do it well. There are others who do not do it at all. Either way, it's all good.

I have seen quite a few people complaining about name changes over the past few months Arieltalia, that being said, I don't think you will ever see an RP server in any MMO where people try to push the boundaries/break the rules for their own amusement. I still see quite a bit of roleplay in Argent Glade from both Guardian and Defiant players.
Well... I'd disagree with you there, Elth, but I'm not looking to get into a debate. :) I don't expect most people to be in character, but seeing character names that don't rip me out of immersion is something that's very very important to me, and when I left Trion wasn't enforcing their so-called RP-server rules at all. Faeblight was just like any other server in that regard. I moved to Argent, the EU RP server, and the difference was like night and day -- polite people, and not one non-RP name, that I saw. But I missed Gaiscioch, and then Trion had to make the wardrobe system so half-assed (compared to the one in LotRO), and I was very angry and disappointed. The rage has dissipated now. :P I've rolled up a new character and I have to say that just from playing a few hours it does look better now than it was, certainly.
Gaiscioch also has a Defiant-side guild as well if the G-side is bugging you. :)
I'm not sure what you are disagreeing with me on so there really isn't a potential for debate. Name policing has been occurring as we have had quite a large number of guild members changing names fairly regularly. Elephantitus is one that comes to mind that was only a few days ago.
