Defiant-side donations?

I realize this would be a crap-ton of work, but is there going to be a donation system for the Defiant side to get Contribution points too?

All defiant side request get processed by other members. Like the old system. You can request stuff and get it filled through the marketplace. There will be no Donations other than bags on the Defiant side. Already this process eats up about 12 hours of my time every week on top of about that worth of Don, Lisa, and Vengful's time as well. This process is insanely time consuming and quite honestly is hindering the amount of time we actually can spend leading events for members rather than sitting in front of a mailbox for 3 to 4 hours straight. We get about 100 mails per day, most of which have 4 to 6 stacks in them. We have to manually log each and every stack into the site to award contribution. Imagine filling 4,000 orders per day on the marketplace. Thats essentially what were doing. Right now we're averaging 4,264 new donations processed every single day. If we opened this up on defiant side we would cease to be able to play the game at all. Not trying to rain on anyone's parade it's just way more time consuming that we could have ever expected. Vengful is working on something that may help and I'm working with Trion to get a solution in place but as it stands right now this is a very very very lengthy process and is eating up too much of our time as it stands currently. I'm sure you all understand.

heh, privately I said to him "sell the stuff and donate the proceeds to the guild bank, we need more bank slots" that might not be a half bad idea. :)

Some of us are using the Marketplace to manage the "donations for credit." As crafters we can make an effort to post orders for materials, which can be claimed for guild credit. A couple more steps involved than donating directly to the vault, and it only covers items specifically requested, but that is one way to get credit without adding to the workload of the leadership.

I'd love to be able to donate some of the high level crafting mats I got when we did crafting rifts to our skilled Defiant crafters. What can we do to encourage them to request mats?

K .. so donations to the guild bank = Bad! lol Gotcha and quite understandable. Z, I suppose as people ask in guild, "anyone a (insert crafter name)" you can remind those in guild chat to request here .. macro ftw! I bet that would work and perhaps get more people to come here as well. psst, I bought that axe recipe in Granite Falls last night and I'll have that axe made today sometime for you.

whats the name again? We need to add that to the list of items that can be requested so I can order it and you can get credit! And WooHoo!!

It would be useful to have an artifact bank tab on the defiant side similar to the guardian one. If there was additional room we could add blue/purple gear to it like on the guardian side. How much more plat do we need for a new tab?

As soon as we get the funds to unlock it all tabs will be open use. Page 2 is 400p, page 3 is 1500p, page 4 is 4000p, page 5 is 9000p. Long road ahead to say the least. Tithe alone wont cut it. Our main side gets 14p a day max. And thats with over 300 people contributing to that every day. Without cash donations were not going to unlock much.

Maybe on the Defiant side we could allow contribution points for plat donation? (at least I don't think this is done on the Guardian side) Seeing that we have a smaller base on the Defiant side and no system for donating mats, it seems reasonable that people could put in their own effort to sell things they otherwise would have donated, then contribute the plat for points.
