Need a bit of help understandting marketplace

I am an avid crafter and gatherer. I was trying to find the link for donating some crafting materials and got a bit confused.

I found the contribution points page from a forum search but there is not link for it. Took a long time to figure that out.

I have located the market place where you can place an order for goods - but it also has the title - Available for donation. If the items do not appear in that list - are they not to be donated? For example if I have 100 exotic leathers - because they are not in the market place list should I not send them?

And through more forum research I believe I am to send my items to Conochir? (not sure if i spelled that correctly). Am I missing something on the website where I can click that I have x items available for donation? Or is it hand calculated by Fog et al after we mail the materials to them in game?

Donations are handled in-game and it is reflected here on the site in the form of contribution points. You are correct, you send all of your donated items to Conchobair, and he has a nifty calculator that figures points out and whatnot. =) All donated items will be listed under the Family Vault (Guild Bank in-game). Therefor if it isn't listed prior to you donating them, they will be once they've been received and put in the bank. I hope this answers your questions. =)

Mira, Welcome to Gaiscioch! If items are not on the 'Available for Donation' page that just means that they can't be donated to the vault. Other members can (and do) still place orders in the Marketplace for Leather, Metals, and everything else. Most of the time there are enough orders that you can go through your bank and get rid of your excess supplies just by filling orders. Orders can be placed both for materials and products (ie: weapons, armor, bags, etc). Check out the other tabs there to see if anybody is looking for what you want to get rid of :)

Okey - thanks for clearing that up. Still not sure - where do I find the requests for supplies from other guildies? I see the open work order tab but it seems to only have crafted items listed. I see where I myself can request materials (leather cloth etc), but not where other folks have requested. I have a surplus of apothecary items, and some woods at the moment and would love to share with others. Do the requests for materials (such as cloth and leather) just fall under the work orders tab as well? and if so are there just no such requests pending?

You can request materials Here on the Request Materials page of the Marketplace. We have moved to a more proactive collection and distribution setup where ALL gathered materials can be sent to Conchobair where he will hold onto them until someone needs them. I am actively trying to keep 200 of each material in stock (that's the goal anyways). This way low level gatherers can earn contribution without having to wait for someone to request the item. We merely act as a broker. I have 4 people now filling the work orders while I manage incoming. Okey - to be sure I have this right - - I mail 50 wyvernspear stems to conchobair - they are worth 4 contribution points each Does Conchobair send me back a reply confirming receipt of the materials and the 200 contribution points I have been awarded for them? Or should I just keep track of them myself? Lols - former control systems engineer - detail freak : ).

Thats all tracked on the website. Just look at your contribution score as I process orders.

I've been sending everything to Fog. As list on the side bar under "What's Needed" is this wrong? I'm prolly filling your mail as I dump bags of items I don't need. Also how often is the marketplace updated? I'm donating everything I can so I can get my lvl 50 crafted gear ready (lvl 48 at 47% now). Thanks for your time.

I try to get through about a hundred mails a day which takes about 2 hours. However with 2000+ characters sending mails we might get a bit backlogged. I'm about 9 days behind atm.
