Just thought I'd mention that Addons are on their way! I'll be back at the old addon game to do things like the Trinity Mod of Warhammer and various other niceties. Want to make an All-In-One bag system so that you have 1 bag with all the slots available in 1 easy to manage window that grows based on your bag sizes. Both for Vault and Character
I sense trouble in the future, but then again was getting tired of pushing multiple buttons. Lets all give a cheer to whatever nerfed buttons is going to be called here

Super bags and a nice addition to the UI system should prove to be a hoooooole lotta fun. I do miss my mods from other games. Can't wait.
Well this could make or break the game for some of the community. I welcome add-ons but if it turns into another wow-effort where i spend the first 12 hours after every content patch updating my addons I will probably give up on MMO's and wait for skyrim.
I'd be happy with just a "take all" button for my mail.
I am going to miss these days of no add-ons. I now with the last mmo I played I had too many add-ons. I couldn't help myself. I would get an add-on for this and an add-on for that, and on patch day I couldn't play because I came to rely on the add-ons. I also liked the fact that there were no gear score or recount add-ons in the game. Now I am afraid things might get too elitist, where you are getting booted from groups for not having the "right" gearscore, or not generating "enough" dps. I am more of a casual player and I usually didn't have the great gear or great dps, so I sometimes got the boot or snide comments. It made me feel uncomfortable and just bad about my gaming experience in general. I ended up quitting that mmo for those reasons. I am worried.
Well Catrina, we're a casual family. I wont be booting anyone for gear scores. I'm more looking to get devices in place to help us lead these PuG's around. A Single button to push to mark your location on the map + give the target you have selected, or the rift type your standing in. Things to help our leaders report what they've done. We can finally build an alliance mod that shows who's online outside of our own immediate family. There's a lot of possibilities that would benefit us greatly. Unfortunately there will be a lot of crap out there as well and every mod you install will slow your gameplay. So I'd be sure you need the mods your installing. I personally look forward to them releasing the LUA design document so I can start planning a few simple mods.
I was thinking of PUGs and the general population when I wrote my reply. I now our family wouldn't be elitist. Add-ons can be a wonderful thing. I both look forward to and fear the advent of add-ons, lol.

FYI, documentation is available on the PTS now. It's missing a lot of functionality but there's enough to start looking at.
I don't think we will have any drama with add-ons as a family. I just fear for the community to be honest. We might be lucky on Faeblight, but we might still see Warfronts dominated by add-ons. As if it isn't already terrible enough with gear-based PvP, throw add-ons into the mix and there goes the entry level PvP population. I am looking forward to seeing what kind of mods will be available though, I just hope they don't saturate the game with things like gear-score, targeting add-ons, boss mods. If Rift ends up being developed around mods like warcraft did, then I'm done.
