How do I go about scheduling a dungeon run?

Now I am a new member of the guild, and am by no means ready to be a group leader. However I did regester the times I am available to run dungeons and saw a number of others who are available to run at those times. So my question is how do I set up a dungeon run for RotF or some other low level dungeon? I wouldn't mind contacting the players, but I would like it to be an offical Gaiscioch event.

Thanks for your help.

First part of being a Gaiscioch is learning to participate. The first hurdle you will have to overcome is obtaining 1000 family honor points to become a Lorgair. As soon as you become a Lorgair you can start leading and organizing events. Once you have the tools unlocked to lead this gets a lot easier. So for now focus on kicking back, relaxing, and getting to know the family. We have a Gloamwood event on Thursday it would make a great chance to gain a ton of family honor points. Take your time and enjoy the family :).

You can also check guildchat to see if anyone is leading a dungeon run. It's not infrequent for those runs to be put in as unscheduled events that you can claim for participation.

I'll create an event for you if this is not contrary to guild policy. I had the same problem when I was still low in the ranks. I wanted to do x dungeon at 8 am on a day I had a late start but can't create a schedule to get others.. was a real bummer. Email me and tell me what time you want, and I'll make sure it has your name in the title and to contact you. 1000 pts doesn't take that long to get, if you go to the events. But since it's not a mandatory raid or anything, you might not get them quickly if you play off times and don't do exclusive guild grouping (for which hopefully other people can create events to claim)

Thanks Saralandrielle. Your suggestion is exactly what I had in mind when I made my post. So if it is not contrary to the guild policy I will contact you Thursday to set up an event for this weekend. You have described my situation pretty well. I want to participate in guild sponsored events, but due to my play time and low level I am not finding events I can regester for. Fairybella created and lead an unchedlued run through RotF for a couple of us, with Ltol coming along for firepower. That was fun! But with two such powerful warriors with us the dungeon was not a challenge. (Not complaing! Loved it.) So I would like to try it with a group at level. So unless I hear otherwise I will contact you for your assistance in setting up a run throug RotF.

Scheduling the dungeon is ok. Claiming the dungeon for someone else is not ok. We set the system up so that a person learns how followers claim their participation. Through this they learn how the site works. Then they gain the ability to lead which is the next wave of trying to drink from a firehose. You should never claim leadership on someone elses event. That bypasses what the system was built to do and compromises the integrity of our family. If you would like to organize a realm of the fae group your welcome to do so. However until you achieve the necessary rank you might want to have someone else lead the event as you will not be able to claim it until you reach the Lorgair mark. For lower levels I welcome you to come out to Thursdays even in Gloamwood and Saturday's event in Droughtlands. Both groups will start in Silverwood and I will be escorting people to the new zone. This is a great chance to earn those points and gain some much needed experience.

Thank you Fogh for the clarification. I would welcome some else to lead the group. As I tried to say in my own fumbling fashion, all I want is participation credit in a guild sponsored group. I believe that it is in the best interest of the guild for me to wait until someone with the proper rank can set up AND lead the group. So Saralandrielle I appreciate your offer but think it would be better to wait a bit. Now I KNOW that I have a patience potion somewhere. Fog I do not get home from work until 9PM PST Mon-Fri so I can't join the weekday 6PM groups. I will be there Saturday for the Droughtlands run if you are willing to carry a lvl 22 Warrior. Again, I want to thank you for all the work you put in for the guild. I fully intend to not only keep the letter of the law, but to fulfill the spirit also. I understand your purpose in the rank system and fully support it. That is why I started this thread in the first place. I wanted to make sure I was fully within the pale.

As a suggestion, get together with 3 more (so you are 4 Tuatha (Guild, Alliance, Extended Alliance) Members) and everything you do (Rifts, Warfronts, rare mobs and Dungeons) can be claimed on the site.

Also, please use the dungeon finder to find people interested in running the same dungeon you are in the same time span. What you do is: 1. go here and set up your own dungeon finder profile so interested players can find you 2. then go here and find compatible players 3. then ingame press G>roster>sort by name 4. send them a tell if they are online and ask them if they want to group for a specific dungeon 5. fill in the gaps in group in tuatha channel (/join tuatha) or other chat channels 6. find out which among you are Lorghair and ask them if they are willing to lead, and if they do have them set up the event on the site so you all can claim participation when the run is over (you must have 4 guild/tuatha members attending to claim participation in an event) I do agree that running dungeons on-level is fun and challenging, but unfortunately you might have to resort to the LFD tool ingame that the devs provided if you can't find a guild group. Like Foghladha suggested, coming to family events is the best way to get participation points at lower levels.

Thank you Booie and Fairybella for the suggestions. Fairy, I did set up my dungeon profile and find the other guildies that are compatible. (In fact, that is what prompted me to start this thread.) What I hadn't figgured out is your steps 3-6. So thanks for that.... I'll give it a try. Booie am I correct in understanding you to say that if I group with 3 more Gaiscioch family members I can get participation credit? Does someone need to set up an event like Fairybella described or is it something a Truebh can do? Still struggeling thru the guild learning curve!

Get together with someone of higher rank, this person leads the effort and every time you close a rift or any of the many qualifying events, the leader enters that information under an unscheduled event. Then you can claim participation credit.
