Question about Events

I just joined the other day, and it figures that until tonight I haven't had any time to play Rift.

I noticed something about lots of the Events, well the ones that have happened over the last few days. It seems as though almost 100% of the people taking part in them are all level 50.

Are there events going on for us non fiftiers?

What ya talking about, I run most of em and I'm not even 50 :). Power to the lil people! :D. Yes each week we run 1 low level mass event, 1 mid level mass event, and 1 high level mass event. Unfortunately this weeks low level was a surprise siege of meridian. You can see the summer schedule here: http://www.gaiscioch.com/tavern/17382/ LOW: Green (Silverwood, Gloamwood, Freemarch, Stonefield) MID: Yellow (Scarlet Gorge, Scarwood Reach, Droughtlands, Moonshade Highlands) HIGH: Red (Stillmoor, Iron Pine Peak, Shimmersand)

Absolutely. Go here and look for the events in green. Those are the low level events. As far as joining the event for places you cannot reach on your own, we drop a rally banner to summon. Go here to read about how that works. There is also an event guide here. I also suggest you read the guide about targeting through another player in raids and managing your pvp autoflag as per the raid leader's instructions. All that information will be useful to you in general and help you prepare for participation in Gaiscioch events. Hope to see you there!

There are also often impromptu events which are organized in guild chat that don't appear on the calendar. As an example, I was playing this morning when the Auz/NZ crew decided to run some crafting and expert rifts. Augerform, who is level 17, joined the group out in Shimmersand and was able to participate (he was the lowest, but certainly not the only non-50 there - there were one or two others in their 20s or 30s). So I would say that between Fog's events and the ones that organically spring up, there are a lot of non-50 events happening (not to mention that there is an event this evening for dungeons that is not level restricted too).

and just because you aren't fifty doesn't mean you can't enjoy the high-level stuff - I participated in the meridian raid as a level 36/37 (yes, I dinged near the end of the event) healer. Sometimes the role is more important than the level; a fifth tank just isn't going to have the same impact (generally) as even a tenth healer/support.

Thanks for the great replies everyone. I kind of figured there had to be other events besides the ones I saw for high levels. I will check out all the links that were posted and see you all in game. Now it's time to pour a tasty Belgian beer and respec my warrior.
