If you do the weekly quest for a Planar Lure for Expert & Raid Rifts found at the entrance of Sanctum (Level 50? Required), We can burn through them all during our event nights.

The way we will do this. Members who have a Raid Rift lure are welcome to join the Raid Rift Raid Groups. You can Buy these in Sanctum at the faction merchants as well for Planarite. Your entrance fee into the raid group will be to have 1 Planar Lure on hand. This way we can hopefully open 20 Raid Rifts per event and everyone who gives a raid rift gets reward from the raid rifts.

The other raid groups will focus on the EXPERT alternative to the Raid Rifts and will use their Planar lures for the EXPERT rifts to open EXPERT after EXPERT rift. It's my hopes by doing this we can gear up most players with T1/T2 gear and get them ready to take on Greenscale.

Make sure to do your weekly quests and get those Lures! We will provide several for each raid group but any you can bring to the table will be beneficial to everyone.

Sounds good to me. I didn't like this model back when it was Malformed/Corrupted Soul based, as getting those is virtually impossible to do reliably, unless you buy them on the AH. Your participation in a group event being based on your luck during the prior week = not fun. But now, Planarite is not only easy to collect but 100% reliable -- if you close a level 50 minor rift start to finish, you will get 250-odd Planarite every time. Invasions are faster still, and now on the world map so you never have to miss them. Attendance requires only 7 minor rifts a week in homework each week, worst-case.

Plus the quest will put a lure in your hand of some kind. As long as we can keep them flowing we can raid rift our nights away. Imagine the planarite just for participating.

Yeah! Also, the more people who have lures (and if an overabundance of lures, all the better), the more people who have the ability to dart ahead of the main group and open up Tears to claim them. I know a headache we've had to deal with in the past was trying to get the two or three people with Lures to the Tear before someone else (or just the timer) opened a normal rift.

I am very interested in this... I would like to get in some crafting rifts too... I cannot get crafting lures (crafter is 17) but really really really need minor catalyst to make anything important. I would be happy to open some expert/raid rifts in exchange for visiting some craft rifts. I need to find where to buy the planarite lures. I have 40000+ planarite, so I figure I can buy a few. Ok, now I know I'm not the only one getting confused by all the new rift types so I have a few questions. Can someone please explain to this old gal in simple terms the difference between an Expert Rift and Raid Rift? The Crafting Rifts I think I have figured out. - - edited: Since some have found the remaining questions offensive, they've been removed and I'll seek answers elsewhere. I apologize.

Expert rifts are like a T1 dungeon. 5 man, difficult, moderate duration. Raid rifts are 20-man, T2+ difficulty, and can have single-stages with 20 minute timers.

expert rifts are opened at a regular tear using a lure. Raid rifts require you to be at a raid tear with the appropriate lure for that zone.

@Treaa - you should be able to get a crafting lure regardless of your player level. The only requirement for the weekly quest is a skill 300 crafter (and if you can make purples you're either there already or very close). You can use the lure in any zone and the resulting rift (and it's rewards) will be level appropriate for that zone. It's most common to open them in Shimmersand or Stillmoor simply because people want the top-tier crafting materials, but you can get the plaque rewards from crafting rifts opened in any zone.

Bring Crafting Lures, Expert Lures, and Raid Lurees tonight. Want to do at least 1 of each per group if possible.
