My butchering has been sitting at 271 since (I think) back when I was 49 (a long time, anyway). I've butchered a ton of stuff since then. What do you have to butcher to get it up to 300?

Probably either Defiants or fuzzy bunnies.
I think there are butcher-able creatures on the far west side in the Firesand Desert in Shmmiersand.
Teth, The only way you can increase your butchering past 270 is to go into Tier 1 and Tier 2 dungeons or kill elite butcherable mobs in Stillmoor (there are elite Drakes by Greenscale). Only level 52+ mobs will give you any skill ups. The best way is to go to a T1 dungeon like Realm of the Fae. You can butcher the mini turtle things and the giant wasp things. Probably one run will net you enough to get to 300 alone.
Thanks for the info! Yeah, now that you mention it, I remember butchering one of those elite drakes, so that must be where the '1' in 271 came from. ;-) Not really worried about it at this point, but I knew my foraging eventually made it up to 300 and my butchering was just sitting there. This makes sense, though, now that I know, so thanks again for clueing me in. :-)
