Aife's Shaman Leveling Guide (Dedicated to Epione)

So we have a new recruit Epione who was asking my advice for leveling a cleric. There are many viable builds but this thread will be focusing on the MDPS shaman soul.

This soul is quite versatile in that it offers a large amount of burst along side some quite decent steady DPS. Its survivability is aided greatly by pairing it with the Druid soul. Overall you gain

2 Absorb shields (one that deals damage back)
2 instant cast heals
1 Fairy pet that might I add looks scary
3 Reactive abilities one that is a heal (quite useful)
2 Mana regen on hit abilities that DO stack and can be cast at the same time. Say hello to 0 - 100% mana in 5 seconds.

The other good aspect of this leveling spec is the Macros, yay for carpel tunnel!

WHY DOES THIS OWN?

This spec owns because of its higher survivability due to the shield and instant cast heals. The main damage behind the Shaman is its Massive Blow. As such Long Memory is probably the most vital talent. Other spells worth noting are Eruption of Life and Bombard from the Druid tree. If bombard critically hits, it hits harder than a Massive Blow critical and Eruption of Life adds A LOT of extra damage on top of your Vengeance of the Winter Storm.

Also have Shield of Oak on your Hotbar in case Glacial Shield is broken. This is not a definitive guide and will as such probably contain mistakes.

Aife great stuff here man. I tried a random build that I tossed together when I created Bachhammer and really ended up not liking the builds so I stopped trying to lvl a cleric. Respecced with this info here and not only does it own, but it is actually fun to play. Big thanks to Aife, this build rocks!

You're more than welcome Bach. I tried a few different specs but nothing hits as hard or survives as long as this build. Even an Inquisicar has trouble keeping up in both departments. Sure they can unload a nice AOE on 3 targets every 15 seconds but their survivability is mediocre at best and requires self heals most of the time. In the time it takes for the inq to down 3 mobs your already on your 5th with this build. :D
