2nd Gaiscioch RP Tavern Night, 3/7/11

Thank you Morreion, for sharing those screenshots. I wasn't able to attend that evening so its fun seeing who the guild RPers are in their element. You're doing a wonderful job of documenting guild events in pictures. I do have to ask though, did you ask permission or even warn anyone that you'd be posting the text of the evening? Personally, my RP is for the moment and not for posterity, and some of my RP I have no desire to have go beyond present company at all. If the intent is to document these meetings in picture AND text, then I will have to give serious consideration to whether I'll be attending future tavern nights.

The pics are great, and it's nice to see a write-up of an RP event to let people know what's going on, but I do back up Zashyn's concerns about making sure that everyone involved is aware that they are being recorded, and acquiesces. I like doing fleshed-out write ups of good storylines and conversations, but it remains important that those involved are aware and in agreement to the process, if for no other reason than building trust - after all, if you REALLY want to see some storylines progress and become something epic, it takes a bit of team-building.

Text has been removed- I've never heard of such a concern over RP occurring in a public event before. It shall not happen again, do not worry!

This is awesome, man. I didn't know I missed a lot. Unfortunately, since I work (or you could say the Warfronts) every Monday, I'll always be late to this event. EDIT: Oh, I also didn't realize I was so under dressed.

Nice pics and thanks for posting. Sorry I wasn't able to get on in time to attend. Although, technically, I believe that was the 2nd Tavern Night. I do recall attending one the week prior. :)

BTW - Morreion, I do hope you didn't take personally any of the thoughts about sharing the chat log. We're all kind of new to RP in Rift, and many of us, myself included, are new to the family, and there are always those moments of guesswork and acclimatizing to the group as we figure out the clan dynamic, the group dynamic, everyone's styles and preferences, and get over the culture shock. In the past, I've been in both freewheeling and very structured groups, so always like to put in the effort to get a feel for where I am. Perhaps I take this stuff a little seriously? Maybe, but I am simply hopeful we can find a good group dynamic, which does seem to be happening :)

I don't think posting the text is an issue... Is it?
