A Change In Plans

My friends,

As you all know I had planned, and was looking forward to, joining you all in Rifts as a member of the family. While I will be joining you all, it will not be in the manner I had first envisioned.

Coming in to Rifts, I'm dragging about ten good friends from previous games (DAoC, EQ2, & DDO) along for the ride. I shared with them my WAR experiences with Gaiscioch and recommended it as an organization for us to join. Others put forth different ideas and in the end a vote among the group was taken. The vote was quite lopsided in favor of us forming our own guild and thus it was decided.

On a personal note, I was a bit disappointed. However, with a new direction come new opportunities. We formed our guild, "Knights of The Vigil", on the day before the commerical launch of Rift.

We're very much interested in joining the Tuatha alliance and I look forward to continuing and growing my relationship with this family.

Greetings David, We'd love to have you guys in our Tuatha channel. Just /join Tuatha to join the alliance. Only need to do it once. We'll let ya know whats going on when. Make sure all your friends register to this site so they have access to all the goodies. I'll add Knigths of the Vigil to the list of Tuatha Guilds for rift although We wont be able to list any characters at this time. You'll have to create individual characters under Edit Characters to work around it. Can you do a /dumpguild in game and send me the file output called guild.xml in your Rift Folder. That way I can snag your Guild ID so when the website goes up I'll know what guild to parse.

Thanks Ben, I already advertise the Tuatha alliance and the tuatha channel in our guild's MOTD. I believe most of our members have already joined the channel. I'll shoot you a guild.xml file later this afternoon. The file I have is a few days old but should give you the info you need. If you want a more current one I can get that later tonight when I log in. We're a small guild and likely will remain that way. I try to schedule frequent guild event anyway, but we don't always get enough to fill them. If you don't mind, I'd like to advertise some of these events in the tuatha channel. For instance, tonight we have a scheduled event, a run through Iron Tombs, but only three people signed up. I'm looking forward to our guilds working together!
