RP tavern night in Rift

Back in Warhammer, a bunch of us roleplayers used to get together once a week just to have our characters make friends or catch up with old ones, shoot the breeze, and sometimes get into a lot of trouble. *ahem*

I suggest we do the same, obviously in the tavern in Sanctum so that we have some peace and quiet.

Mondays at 9 pm EST was the traditional time, but of course there is no rule that we must stick with that. Any takers?

I'll try to make it tonight. But I'm CST. So, I'll be late for 30 minutes to an hour...that is if I can get in right away.

I'm VERY interested. On Mondays, I may be late getting in at that time (gotta make a pick up run) but I'll be involved as much as possible with RP. With the RP scene still forming, anything that pushes us along helps. And if there are enough of us, who says it has to be one night a week?

I'm not usually one for tavern RP, but I do agree with Gellor - anything to make contacts and get us going. My class doesn't let out until 8pm-ish CST so I'll be a half hour or so late arriving.

Hey, nobody is saying that it is limited to once a week, but we have to start somewhere! I would love to have some other events, perhaps even some held in Defiant lands to open up some cross-faction RP. Stonefield comes to mind, even though that is a 20+ zone.

I am interested and will try to be on tonight. As others have indiciated though, it depends on my ability to log-in a timely fashion.

Thanks for sticking your nose out to get this going, Arieltalia! I wish I'd had more than 15 minutes to be involved (duties called), but I will be making efforts to support clan RP as possible, for as long as the RL beast keeps away from me.

Finally came to the end of the queue . . . and servers went down. grrrr I'll try again next week.

Same thing happened to me. I queued then 15 minutes later it went down.

For the short time I was able to be there, it was very enjoyable, not to mention nice to get back into the RP groove. We even had some outsiders join in!

I tried to get in last night, but was locked out as well - can't wait to get on and meet some other RPers! Cirig

I'ld be, except that by the time i get back home its impossible to log in and have any time left to play :( Not to mention the time. 9pm PST = 2am for me >_<

9pm EST :) Still maybe not good for you, but we are taking suggestions for other times. :)

Yeah. I missed it too, and I was on. Didn't see this in time, I guess. Will try to be there for the next time people want to. I haven't rp'd since I played D&D and have been really starting to get into it here on Faeblight. I will watch for a time. Thanks.

Well, it was our first shot, and the RP beast is not always easily tamed, but this very thread gives an idea of who's interested, and who to add to your Friend list. I am dabbling with an idea I've used in other MMOs as a group icebreaker, converting it to Rift use, if we end up needing a push.

Hey, RP'ers. I've been checking out the Faeblight forums and found a couple of proposed events that might be of interest to you guys. The first one is the Telaran Artistry Fair, which will be held in Argent Glade this March 12. I'm going to attend because it looks like it's going to be fun. If you guys want to join me and create an RP event within this event, I'd organize it. Also, some Defiants are threatening to disrupt this fair and it might turn into an RP-PVP. So, we'll also be defending this event. The second one, there's a Defiant guild (Nexus) who are proposing a world RP-PvP event. No Order guilds has answered this call yet. Again, if any of you are interested, I'll run this event, depending on which date they want it. The kick to this one: if they win, they write the story for the next event. If we win, we get to write the story. So, are any of you interested in these?

I did notice the Artistry Fair and I'm planning to attend. Sign me up for the other event as well!

I actually got a bigger RP-PvP event brewing right now. The scenario will be: Defiants will come and crash Telaran Artistry's Fair, this is an hour after the actual fair has started, and then we will be there to defend it. I already got Lunalynn's (Telaran Artistry) blessing on this one. I'm just waiting for Fog to give me a go signal since I don't think I can organize big events such as this one yet.

Well, I was looking forward to the Telaran Artistry's Fair as originally presented, but if it turns into a pvp event then I'll be bowing out. However it goes, I hope it goes over very well.

No, the PvP event is another event and will be run AFTER the actual Fair. I'm not planning to ruin another guild's event. That's not how we roll. We're gonna let the Telaran Artists sell their stuff, read poems to us, sings songs, have their dwarves belly dance first. Then, after all that, Defiants will do their raid. the "Crashing the Fair" is merely a setting and a whole different event that will be run by us and another willing Defiant guild (none has replied to me yet though). So, by all means, please attend and support the Fair. It's still the same fair.

Ahhh . . I misundertood. Thank you for clarifying for me. Cedrissa will certainly attend to browse wares, meet crafters and just generally have fun taking in all the performers for some much needed down time. *checks the coin purse* She will conveniently head out to combat rifts and invasions just before the Defiant show up.

Will we be meeting this Monday for some RP fun?

To all who came by last night - good fun! We just need to keep at it, find some common themes, and see what other mischief comes up. So, you ANY of you elves have tails?

I guess I'm still trying to figure out what to do to someone who tries to check to see if I have a tail!

That was a lot of fun. Gellor's performance was the highlight of the night for me. Although I have to work on my typing skills, emote skills and paying attention skills a lot. Haven't MMO RP'ed for 4 years now.

You did fine, as did everyone. :) It isn't a contest. :) And truly I'm honored that those who haven't RPed in a long time or have never RPed decide to do so in my presence. Even if they just hang around to soak up the atmosphere and add comments now and again.
