rift live and my comp has a prob

ok last night like many of us i download the live patch they had up, all 8.32 gigs of it.. took about 2.5 hours all together which isint bad really.. every thing went well and had no probs .. afterwards i shut down my comp and headed to bed ,, this morning how ever when i went to fire up my comp it frose up before it even got to my desktop . ended up haveing to do a sestem restore to get the comp to fire all the way up.. to my shock once i did get to my desk top i found the only rift client i had was the rift alpha client ,, i did a search on my comp and found the only rift thing i had on the comp was, again, the rift alpha client .. so it looks like im going to have to redownload the whole thing all over again ,,, grrrrrrr what a pain.... and be fore you ask ,, yes i did remove the rift beta client from the comp prior to downloading the rift live comp

You might want to consider sacrificing a live chicken to the Guardian gods before reinstalling. You know, just in case.

lol ive done even better .. got the sledge hammer out of my shop and have it leaning up aganst my comp.... lol... well as a possible fix before re downloading i not only removed all rft programing from my comp ,, aka rift alpha.. ive also defraged and checked for any new patches for my comp... nor its time to try downloading again lol

Grab CCleaner and have it check registry for left over Rift items to clean out.

Doing a system restore should have taken you back to a preset point on the computer which was probably before you deleted the alpha and installed the new client. This explains why you had the alpha and not the new client.

Hmm.. I'm afraid to turn off my computer now. I did get the Win 7 SP 1 yesterday. Hope its not something related to that.
