We should be all set when we go live. I've gotten the XML import running and it should be able to keep our roster in Sync. THeres going to be lots of work to do on the site the first few months so be patient. It will get there eventually. Trying to cram 2.5 years worth of development into a few months isn't easy. Especially when your trying to keep your employment ;)

I was able to claim Skaja and it seems to be the correct character from Rift.
Ditto. Both of the above, actually. Well, not the e-commerce specialization, and I claimed Tetharel instead of Skaja; but you get the drift. :-)

Don't get too happy. Come next Thursday I'm nuking that list and we start new. Both the guild ID and the Characters will all be different so you'll end up having to reclaim them. This was just done so I could see a working model and make sure it's all working properly :)
Oh, sure, I knew that. Just figured it wouldn't hurt to verify the claiming part was working as well. :-)

I was able to grab Setth - I'm assuming the character stats themselves aren't imported right now?
They dont give us much character data at this point. WHEN and IF they enable the Web Versions there should be a lot more information available :). As of right now all I get is Character Level. Plus its a manual export which requires me to login, type /dumpguild, upload the guild.xml file to our webserver then run the parser. When it goes full web version I can have a parser run on a nightly basis. But for now we'll have weekly updates. Most likely I'll run the query whenever we have an event.
Would it be possible for you to set up a repository for the dumps? If so, anyone in the alliance could do a dump when they felt like it (or scheduled it) then rename the guild.xml file to a predetermined format (maybe something like
Nobody can upload to our site. There servers are locked down tight to prevent intrusion. There's no ftp on the whole box and the only way in is through a vpn. I am looking at a copy and paste method but allowing people to push a file opens us up to all kinds of attacks.
