I got my open beta key last night, and I'm all patched up. I'm still not sure to what degree I'll participate in the open beta. But, I'm excited nevertheless.

Hmm Key? It's OPEN... We don't need no stinkin keys! Appearently we do need to be invited, however. Was your email an invite, rather than a key?
The invites go out in waves so we don't all try to download at the same time. I patched up yesterday without waiting for the invite and it seemed to work. In fact I didn't receive an invite for Beta 6 either, somehow my Trion Account gave me permission without needing to agree (for the 10th time) to the EULA.

I assume you'd still need some kind of key to apply to your account if you haven't played already, even if it's called open beta. Patched my game earlier today and just got my invitation.
Got my invite last night, patched up as well. Still not going to play much cause of overpopulation, but will prolly confirm a few build ideas.

Yeah, sorry. Habit of terminology. Open beta invite, not key. Prior to receiving my invite, if I tried to open up the client and patch, it'd say I wasn't authorized. After receiving my invite, I was able to patch. So yes, it does seem that the invite is required.
Received mine late last night and also patched up. Looking forward to trying a few more builds. Hope to see my kin in-game ! All the best.
