Will we have a RP-PVE server picked before the Gaiscioch Grand Opening Rift Party on March 1st? I know quite a few of us are planning to participate in the Early Start. Want to get a head start (cause I'm old and slow) and I don't want to make a server selection mistake. I plan on logging into Vent at launch and will continue to monitor the forum news until then. Any thoughts?
As soon as I get the official list I will announce our server. We will form the guild up in the head start and then have it there by the party day. I just don't have an official list to go on. And the word on the street is they wont be the servers that are used in beta. They will all be fresh servers.

what beta server is most people using? or is it just one server?
Faeblight I think is the one were using but its being pounded like crazy seriously laggy beyond comparison.
Good. Rather have it lagged to hell and back now, when the devs can tweak with it and fine tune it, than put up with stuff fortresses (un)playability on laghammer ;)
now now, it is no longer called "lag-hammer" it is now referred to as "Bored-Hammer" :)
I logged in a bit last night after I got home from work. I couldn't play because of the extreme lag --which was understandable because they gave a lot of keys. It finally kicked me out after 10-15 minutes. So, I just went to bed. But, the good news, my FPS were a whole lot better last night (at high with no AA and ASF) even though I was surrounded by at least 50 people.

There are over 40 servers online now in Beta 5! First few hours were quite rocky! Lots of lag and hard to connect to the popular servers. All seems OK a couple of hotfixes later.
so what are the best classes to choose from mage direct damage type? Im gonna have to make a toon on here and get invited to guild

While I'll gladly roll on an RP-PvE server, the recent Wardstone change has me somewhat worried about the direction of world PvP. =| I liked the idea of the Ancient Wardstones until I played with them a bit and was not impressed. Did others have a better impression from them?
The reason they changed the wardstone was so PVE only players could quest and not worry about griefing. Sadly if you want world PVP you might have to go to a PVP server. I have high hopes that Trion will bring out some rock solid RVR after release. I can do this because they won't be rushing to get out the content they promised and could get in. This game is the first one in years that I have seen that is so polished come release. I bet you any money they are already working on post release content hopefully RVR is part of it.
I hope they do go in the direction of RVR... but what I've heard makes it sounds like they'll do a WoW-Wintergrasp 'pvp zone' instead of a frontier zone with capturable objectives, which would be a damn tragedy.

The Aussies have selected Faeblight as the unofficial Australian PvE-RP server for thos Aussies planning to Role Play. That could mean that Gaiscioch will own that server during American prime time. IF that;s one of the server names that stays.
