What faction are we playing at launch?

What faction are we rolling at launch? What server type pvp or pve. Personally I prefer pvp. Thoughts?

Guardians, RP-PVE. That way people who don't want to get ganked in PvP won't have any worries about it, while we, who like to PvP just have to flag ourselves when we want.

I think I'm going to need to make a post that points out that just because were. On a PvE server doesn't mean there's no PvP. I have played on both and my experience between the 2 has both been pvp focused. As. You progress there are areas and situations which flag you. Killing sourcestones in enemy territory WILL flag you. I've had a ton of fun pvping on both the pve and the pvp server. Only difference is you have to opt in to get ganked. When and if warhammer dies we may examine the option of a pvp server IF that is what everyone wants. But the majority of us are casual players who play with their spouse and family and do not want to get griefed trying to turn something in or complete a rift or zone event.

PVP servers can be fun. I remember in WoW the guild I was in was raiding SSC and as our people were trying to get in they were getting ganked. Our entire raid came out of the instance and destroyed them. lol I would have loved to see the looks on their faces when our entire raid zoned outside and beat the crap out of them.

There are two separate builds now for the trees so I really would not recommend playing on a PVP server as one will always be far more prepared in a PVP fight then the other. Lets say your trying to level and then someone who is just running around out there wanting to gank everyone and as such is in the PVP build which is far better at fighting players then mobs themselves and the other person isn't in a PVP build and specced for fighting against monsters and not playings. I just rather not have that added stress of not being prepared for the fight just because someone else is in a PVP build. The career I'm going for in my life will be stressful enough and just want to relax when I get home by watching a movie or playing a video game.

I forgot ask too which server are we playing on for the PVE-RP?

Server lists have yet to be announced. In Beta we are faeblight

There's no such thing as a pvp dev. Don't start playing the favoritism bs. There's a team per archtype and I've met the leads. The racials are all being reworked and will likely be totally different at launch. Both sides have a team devoted to them its not one team thinking oh let's make this side op.

If ya don't like it don't play. Simply put. Telling me the developers dont listen is like saying fish don't swim. They have jumped through hoops making nearly every request I put forward a in game possibility. PvP servers will allways be plagued with aholes. Its an ahole rich environment and caiters to that personality. You do have an immunity timer when coming out of warfronts. On pve servers your not even flagged. Griefing will be an issue no matter where you go but that's why we gaiscioch make ourselves the biggest baddest dog on the block. 1 itty bitty group isn't going to stand a chase when we drop a rally banner and summon 50. Conchobairs primary targets are griefers. Its my favorite pasttime killing aholes. I jump at the opportunity. Regarding favoritism, the team is not set up in a way to be favorites. There's a team per zone and a team per class. There's a team that does all the racials and backstory and then there's all the engineers who take the data and plug it all in. I've personally killed dozens of defiants and have yet to find one I can't kill 1 on 1. Just because other games have biased gameplay doesn't mean trion has to. Ruling out a game in beta is foolish and those type of players I don't want anyways. Their the fair weather players that will quit as soon as easy mode goes away. Its a freakin beta people. Its where things like balance get tweeked. Again if you aren't have fun do us all a favor and wak away now. Id rather you do something you enjoy that stress about something you don't.
