Does anyone know a Cleric dps soul that is similar in some way to a kiting ranged dps like MM?

I really enjoyed the Inquisitor. At higher level he easily holds his own, I mixed it with druid for the bubble and the fairy heals. The inquisitor doesn't get a heal other ability but the lifetap and manatap are very useful. Plus the instant-fear for up to 8? enemies is awesome.

I have the same dilemma. In the end I had more fun with rogue so I decided to go high bard for healing and support and high ranger for solo. It sounds like the other recommends here will work nice for you though.

i suggest adding some marksman to that mix as well Feawin. My rogue on alpha is a 30 ranger/marksman, and the ammount of damage it can dish is very high. Plus, having the dire razorbeast helps a lot on the "keep aggro outta me back" department.

I'm rolling rogue at release. Been playing warriors to tank for my small group of buddies. Rogue at release will possibly be marks/sabo/riftstalker, so I can have some fun blowin' stuff up or tanking in PvE :)

I'd like to roll a Stormcaller. But for the sake of a bit of character continuity, I'll roll a Warrior Champion/Beastmaster for PvE. Then a 2nd role Paladin/Paragon/Vindicator for PvP.

After much deliberation, I've decided that Arieltalia will be a Rogue. I kept wanting to love the Warrior, really. Traditionally Ariel has always wielded a two-handed sword. What clinched it for me? Riftblade's teleport requires an enemy target. Riftstalker's does not require a target at all so can be used to beat a hasty retreat. :D Ranger/Marksman/Nightblade for PvE leveling, or Ranger/Nightblade/Riftstalker when I feel like melee. Riftstalker/Bladedancer for PvE tanking. Nightblade/Riftstalker/Bladedancer for PvP. (I can shoot fireballs, stealth, and teleport!)

Oh yeah. There was a Riftstalker who was after me all the time when I was playing at the codex. His name was Creep and he killed me a couple times with his stuns and crits. But I can't kill him with my Riftblade/Paragon build because he'd teleport away all everytime I almost had him. I also want to play a rogue and RP a Bard/Bladedancer. But I never had the chance to test out a Bladedancer.

Reading from Trion´s character classification, you find the Bard being regarded as Enhancer, which is fine for any Rogue - especially `Cadence´, the zero point skill giving you 2 combo points at range. Chloromancers are the only healing class outside the clerics´ area, but need to be regarded as supporters only at any rate, since none of their skills, bei it healing or dps, makes them 1st souls in my opinion. Mixed with a full dps class, this is sweet for PvP as well as group PvE. Your decision between Cleric and Rogue is a trilateral blade, as it seems. First you should define your characters field of action. Will it be PvE or PvP? Do you wish to help your group survive or simply hand out DPS? What´s your preference - close combat or actions at range? Whatever you find out for yourself, several points seem to be quite clear, from what Alpha and Beta tests have shown: Rogues of any flavour will be great at dps and strategic battles. Clerics will be superior healers and great at support/enhancement. Warriors provide best tanking, nice DPS and strategic abilities. Mages seem to be unpredictable for their opponents, since their skills show nice support healing (Chloromancer), great enhancing (Archon, Dominator) and supreme DPS (rest of list). Apart from exceptions like Riftstalkers being ready for tanking or Chloromancers being Mages with healing skills, main classes more or less represent what they used to in most other MMOs. Maybe better discuss this via Vent - there´s so much to choose from ;)

A note about Chloromancers - they are excellent PvE Healers at the level of the beta characters (perhaps at higher levels too? would make sense, their healing abilities increase greatly at higher levels) and very, very fun as a primary soul. They are probably not suited as a primary healer soul for PvP but they could easily be an offhealer damage/support soul :)

I tend to agree with Murchadh's take on Chloromancers as well. I used to have a role on my omega mage (got wiped with the rest) that used to have chloromancer as second soul to give support to elementalist. Its really nice to be able to yeld a crapton of damage and still be able to survive (self heal) AND keep raid members up. And yes, at high levels, the healing abilities gets rather strong. Mind you. You'll never be on pair with the heals only souls for clerics, but you certainly can do well as an offhealer and can even do well as main healer in a pinch.

Have had absolutely no problem in any instances so far in beta as a full chloromancer, and I found it far, far easier than solo healing as a sentinel... that being said, things could change between now and max level :)

Nice calc, I say. Will be interesting to find out the most actual one after release. I actually use http://rifts.ru/tallents/index.html Back to topic, what I wanted to point out is a serious difference in gameplay, when you are torn between Rogue and Cleric (tested that Chloro on high level and it is definitely one hell of a survivor at this time of develeopment). While Clerics tend to support their team and seem to survive much easier than in other MMOs, those stealthy creepers called Rogues are still the low armoured hit & run killers, or long range nuisance, they are usually ment to be. Mind you, never go without bard as 3rd soul, it saves you from trouble :)
