Anyone notice that Trion is also being part of the new "Syfy Games" label?
Trion is invested in by NBC, and NBC owns Syfy. Just like Trion has a section of the NBC booth at CES. Now you know why they have so much money :D
Trion is looking for an Executive Producer for the SyFy MMO. Job is in SanDiego, just saying.
I was looking at that SyFy MMO the other day too. It certainly piqued my interest.
I saw End of Nations at PAX2010 and it looked like a lot of fun. Reminded me a lot of Command & Conquer but with a lot more interesting Units.

The only thing I'm hoping is that Trion doesn't try to get too big for it's britches. If they extend too much of their resources in other projects, Rift could suffer. The TV series / MMO sounds like a facination plan but it's very very risky. If the show is horrible (as 99% of the stuff on sci-fi channel is) then there will be no interest in playing the mmo. I just hope they don't bankrupt themselves which would result in Rift shutting down.
It does sound promising but I'm really mad at sci-fi right now for canceling Caprica and not sure I want to trust them now. One of the reason's I first decided to really check out Rift was the list of big money backers and the dev list. However Comcast is trying to push a merger with NBC/Universial and that makes me really uncomfortable considering the lack of respect for the public interest that Comcast has displayed over the years.
