RIFT: Collector's Edition Details

TRION WORLDS DETAILS RIFT™ COLLECTOR’S EDITION AND PRE-ORDER EXCLUSIVES

Trion Worlds today announced plans for the limited-release Collector’s Edition of Rift, the upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game that pits players against six planes of reality on the besieged world of Telara. Available only at select retailers, the special edition includes the following exclusive items in addition to the game client DVD:

Exclusive in-game digital items:

-- Ancient Tartagon Mount: Available at level 20, this turtle mount increases player speed by 60%
-- Collector’s Satchel: Increases the size of your primary backpack to 24 slots
-- Bogling Wastrel: This unique pet sets you apart from the other Ascended

Exclusive in-box premium items:

-- 8GB USB Drive: Exclusive flash drive branded with the Rift logo
-- Official Rift Soundtrack: Featuring 17 epic tracks from acclaimed game composer Inon Zur
-- SteelSeries gaming mouse pad featuring detailed art of a blistering Fire Rift
-- Telara Chronicles Trade Hardcover: All five issues of the gripping graphic novel miniseries based on the Rift universe in one limited-edition hardbound book

Those who pre-order either the standard or Collector’s Edition of Rift will receive their choice of the following in-game pets: Cockatrice Chick, Deep One Spawnling or Hellhound Pup. Additionally, players who pre-purchase the game at select retailers will get one of the following exclusive weapon enchantments. Each rune grants your character +3 Endurance and protects against that element.

-- Blazing Sourcestone Rune (Steam): Fire touches your weapon, causing it to burst into flame (+10 Fire Resist)
-- Crystalline Sourcestone Rune (Amazon): Earth touches you weapon, encasing it in crystal (+10 Earth Resist)
-- Frozen Sourcestone Rune (Best Buy): Water touches your weapon, encasing it in frost (+10 Water Resist)
-- Pulsing Sourcestone Rune (Direct2Drive): Life touches your weapon, causing it to pulse with life energy (+10 Life Resist)
-- Shrouded Sourcestone Rune (Trion direct and all other 3rd party digital retailers): Death touches your weapon, shrouding it in darkness (+10 Death Resist)
-- Swirling Sourcestone Rune (GameStop): Air touches your weapon, wreathing it in lightning (+10 Air Resist)

Glad I Pre-ordered the collectors. That is some good stuff for the collectors edition.

I'll have the Amazon pre-order available as soon as it's available. All proceeds through our family store go toward paying for vent. I opened a paypal account just for that purpose :D. So far we've spent enough to keep vent running without taxing my bank account which has been nice :D

Free mount? Free pet? Free enchant? More backpack space? I'm so on it! That's alot of stuff, this is the best CE I've seen. Unless it costs like $200. Let me know when it's available for pre-order here.

i would, except Amazon doesn't ship to Brazil and gamestop has some ludicrous shipping and handling fees :| P.S.: And obviously, i should have checked the page to see that both Steam and D2D will be doing pre-orders before saying anything -_- lol

Is the link for the collectors edition

I know some are curious as to how much the Collectors Edition is, according to Gamestop it is $79.99 (http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=78578) Ignore the release date as it is not the official release date. At the bottom of this page they also say "Official pricing and release dates have not been announced by the publisher." So who knows for sure.

also the pre-order key acts like a VIP beta key. It also looks like thru TRION you can pre-order a digital CE that only has the in game CE bonuses and not the the physical stuff. The digital CE version being $10 more then the digital normal version.

Howdy! Any advice for those of us who have not played in the beta and so have no idea how good those pre-order resist items are, or how big a deal the Collector's backpack slots and mount are? I like to start new games in ignorance, just playing around for fun for a while, so I have not done any pre-launch reading on the stats mechanics and so have no frame of reference at all to judge what a +10 resist really means in terms of gameplay.

Heya, the resist items are nice, but mostly you'll want them for the weapon glow lol :P Mount isn't a big deal if you aren't a collector, you can get one of the same speed in game for 2 plat odd which is easy to come by. The slots though are irreplacable, its forever a bigger bag. The 10 resist doesn't seem to be much though, and 3 end is about 100 hp or so. (not sure of the exact numbers)

I have a whole set of the runes, not so much for the resists, for the looks. :) Digital CE only cost $10 more than standard. Ithink the mount alone is worth that. You can be riding at level 6 instead of level 18 or so (which is when you qould have the 2.5 P for a mount.

HMMM I didnt get the 24 slot backpack! Do we have to wait until we enter out CD key to get it? I did get all of the other digital stuff though.
