With the Rift closed beta fast approaching, I wanted to post about something I've learned over the last few days, and give everyone interested in the game but too slow to get in yet a heads up...
A number of websites (Curse.com and Gamespot) are giving away beta keys, or at least were recently. These keys, however, are not "VIP Keys." They give access to at least one of the beta events planned by Rift. If you have a premium account at Ten Ton Hammer, I believe you can get a VIP key that should give you access to all of the closed beta, but don't get angry at me if it doesn't work!
I'm only posting this because I know that the Forgotten Worlds beta had a lot of people, including myself, rather annoyed on the first day of closed beta because of something a bit similar to this, though far more misleading in my humble opinion.
