Greetings Everyone,
Well we've made the long haul. All 4 active rooms of our house have all 5 types of missions and now sit with maximum merits. I wanted to take a moment to congratulate you all on the hard work we all put into this. Together we raised over 1,150,000 influence across the 5 rooms of the house. This is quite the accomplishment. In addition we are passing the Puzzles with great ease, completing the rushes in the first 7 minutes, and can successfully beat most challenges.
Now one of the things we've seen over the past few months is that aside from our core group of die hards, the majority of people tend to show up when it's "Their" guild/room, and if they've already gotten the chest that week. Guild missions are a team event, they award more Family Honor Points than traditional methods as such. I know the reward isn't there for you but without people these missions become impossible to complete. To complete these missions we need 20 people minimum. 40 Would make it a lot easier and allow us to beat some of the harder challenges but quite honestly without 40 some of the challenges can't be beaten. So by thinking "What's in it for me" you hanging your family out to dry. I ask that even if there is no reward you continue to show up and support your family. They showed up for you, return the favor.
Now that we don't have to complete all 4 guild's missions every week to unlock anything we are going to be opening up the schedule and reduce the amount of events that happen on the same timeframe. We will also begin utilizing certain guilds for guild missions. With the change up on event times this should encourage all to attend that can. Please note that without 20 people the event leader will only run Bounty and Rushes until they can get 20 people at which time they can run puzzles and some challenges.
The Road Ahead
I have a plan that will allow us to pull community into our Guild Missions but it's going to take some time to get there.
The Present (July)
This month we will begin running all guild missions in Gaiscioch na Anu and Gaiscioch na Rall. I will be working with our official Gaiscioch Commanders to schedule time throughout the week for these missions to run. We will continue running Treks as needed in all main rooms of the house on Mondays to replenish the Hero Banner fund. Here is our schedule starting July 1st.
- Saturday's @ 12PM Server: Prissy's Guild Mission Makeup Event - in Gaiscioch na Anu
- Saturday's @ 11PM Server: Pre-ClubGaiscioch Bounty, Challenge, & Rush in SOR Community Events (Invites will be provided at the event)
- Monday's @ 4PM Server: Foghladha's All Room Treks, Bounty, Challenge, Puzzle, & Rush in Gaiscioch na Anu.
- Tuesdays's @ 4PM Server: Foghladha's Bounty, Challenge, Puzzle, & Rush in Gaiscioch na Rall
- Thursday's @ 10AM Server: Jessica's Bounty & Rush in Gaiscioch na Rall
We are actively working with our commanders to fill the following timeslots as well.
- 9PM Server
- 7AM Server
- 2AM Server
Starting in August I will be moving my Tuesday event to the SOR Community Events and hosting the next generation of Great Tyrian Adventure focused around Guild Missions. This event will fill our Primetime Guild Missions slot from 6-8:00PM with Prize giveaways immediately following.
The Distant Future (August)
As many of you know we moved everyone out of "Regular I" Gaiscioch. I have quietly been prepping it for Guild Missions on a community scale. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a guild rename ability at which time I will rename "Gaiscioch" (The non-funny i one) "SOR Community Events [SOR]". What we will be doing with this room is inviting everyone that shows up into the guild during the Guild Missions or Community Event, then removing everyone once it's over. This room is currently the home of the prize vault as well so it will be a nice method for allowing people to choose a prize from the collection. This will allow us to host a Guild Mission Community Event for the entire server and give the opportunity to players who normally wouldn't be able to complete them. In addition this should help spur attendance at our late night Guild Missions. Once we have Puzzle's Unlocked in this room we will be using it solely for Guild Missions and return to doing Guild Missions on an "As needed" basis in our GSCH rooms.
The Next Great Tyrian Adventure
As many have noticed the Great Tyrian Adventure like all Public Community Events focused on PvE has kinda run it's course. Our population has tapered off quite a bit from our first week of over 130 people. After the conclusion of Season 1 of the Great Tyrian Adventure I will be changing it's format a bit. We will be running it as a Community Guild Missions event and walk everyone who is not able to get their weekly Guild Commendations through the missions as a family. This should draw a pretty large crowd and should make for some interesting times. This will still be held on RaidCall 5012 and be an event that you will claim on SanctumofRall.com for your chance to win prizes. This should allow everyone a chance to participate and also make choosing a prize easier as all the loot lives in that room's vaults. I think in the end this will draw the numbers we're looking for and be a renewable source of entertainment that won't run stale and continuously rewards everyone for coming out. If we have to run it as Gaiscioch (If Guild Rename does't make it's birth by then) we will. I have changed the emblem to a griffin in this room so we should be able to tell the difference.
In Closing
Our goal is to bring Guild Mission availability to everyone. I know some of you won't be able to make any of these times but please remember for a full round of guild missions it takes 2 full days to build the ability to run those missions, in addition you CAN NOT complete them without a minimum of 20 people. Some literally require 6 people down low and 6 people upstairs. They have hard people checks to make sure that you have enough people. If we activate one with not enough people we waste 24 hours of build time for that mission not to mention the influence. I have instructed our leaders to only activate missions if they meet the following requirements:
- Bounty: 10+ People
- Rush: 10+ People
- Puzzle: 20+ People
- Challenge: 30+ People
If 20 people don't show up. No Challenge or Puzzle will be ran. We are doing the best we can to accommodate everyone's schedule however there is no way for us to ensure all 1000+ of you can attend. These take time to build, cost influence to make, and take a commander with the same availability. These are not a pickup group type of activity.
