If someone else wants to do this, I would love to try having 2 of these in wvw. The only thing better than one would be a flanker to double the destruction. Now just need to save up 20g for the axes and sigils. This would really lay waste to JQ's tight zerg formation. Watch the video. It is amazing how many people are downed in the first couple seconds.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjidD-RP7Nk

The idea is a bursty warrior with high power and crit to pop 3 utilities in precise order right before jumping into the middle of a zerg. When ready...

1) Pop balanced stance so you stay mobile.

2) Pop frenzy for speed and damage output.

3) Pop endure pain to stay alive while you use your whirling axes (one or both of which have sup sigils of fire).

The trick to this build is having 30 points in defense so you can get spiked armor, which will give you retaliation for 5 seconds. As soon as you jump in the zerg, someone will hit you to proc this. Basically, you become a moving, flaming, slashing monster AOE-machine who hurts everyone and kills anyone who fights back.

I'd actually be willing to respec my current Hammer/CC build to something like this for the sake of WvW shenanigans. I'd just need to get him to 80 first though. Is there link to the build on some build calculator? Or what set of gear does this person have? That would be helpful to know.

Not sure this is exactly like the warr in video because it looked like he was procing in the AOE flame blast from the sigil of fire. You can probably get close to the same damage output without runes of divinity, too.

Thanks for the link. Seems like it would be a lot of fun running two or more warriors like that! :P Only thing is I would probably take sword/shield on the offset instead of axe/shield for the leap on the 2. It seems to be what the warr in the video had as well. Now for me I gotta get my warr to 80 and some Berserker's gear to match! Time to run CoF I guess. EDIT: One thing that occurred to me while re-watching that video is that he always has those two Guardians nearby him, and that he receives almost constant healing when damaged. The success of his build may rely on the Guards having the trait that gives the Virtue of Resolve to nearby allies, sigils of Water, and Cleric's gear. Just a thought.

pretty interesting vedio, i don't know much about wvw, but from what boons are put on the warior i would agree with what was mentioned about the guardians, a guargian shout build running with him would give him some heal and not to mentioned condition removal... u can see a necro that is running arround pretty close aswell, isn't there a necro support build?? not sure how that would play out but he seems to be close by alot... definitly something worth a try, or atleast lvl up my warrior for :) i would be willing to support with my guard if anyone ever feels like trying it out, although i would have to look at getting some cleric gear to maximise the healing i give u

? Edited on: 2013-02-23 04:50:37 looked into the dungeon gear, none have a cleric version but there is the AC set that has prec/vit/healing and its set up with a monk rune, that wouldn't help remove conditions but would bump up healing even more

This really looks like a well organized group they move with the warrior and stay together this was fun to watch. I think the warrior is using omnomberry pies for healing with whirling axe. There's another axe warrior in some of these videos too, double the burst damage. The necro's may be helping pull conditions but I'm not sure what their purpose is to be honest but they aren't there for no reason. Warriors can do some awesome burst damage and with a little support can stay alive, especially when the enemy dies this quick.

I think this is actually very cool and I would love it if we can find enough people interested in running support to make a squad like this. I'd be willing to also run support on my Guardian, since I know more about Guard skills than Warr skills. I think there's a lot of potential for a team like this, and would also be some real good fun being a part of it. Now we just need to figure out what kinds of builds this guy's buddies are running and do this ourselves!

as for a guard build, think a standard and proven build would be a 0/0/30/30/10 shout build.. gives out alot of group heals and boons, geared with soldier runes u can have constant condition removal.... armor wise u could run a cleric as mention before or a pow/tou/vit for your own tanking need... weapon is well up to the user, guard have a range of weapons that can be usefull, staff is good for heals and might build up, greatsword has good dps and even a good blind attack.. shield can give out some protection... as for sig i think it was water that gives out some healing...

What about the necro and the mes? I know the necro has some skills that can transfer conditions to enemies, but does the mes have any good support builds? Other than that, I guess the real question here would be is there enough people here that are willing to make a squad like this? I'm down for it and i think it'll be a blast, but we'd need a full party to do it like the guys in the video.

"but does the mes have any good support builds?" Eh, maybe a glamour confusion build. Scepter and Torch with Staff, full Rabid w/Nightmare runes and Pizza. I don't recall trait build offhand, something like 0/10/0/30/30 or there abouts (you want the glamour and confusion traits, I forget which lines) with Null Field, Feedback, Portal and Time Warp. edit: I looked at a build like this for Nelfaar, had one built, but I really wanted to work in Greatsword rather than Staff. I eventually did make it work, but not ready to post a build atm.
