Okay, so i am leveling every class. I am going to either level Mesmer or Necro next, but should i do Mesmer-Guard-Necro? or Necro-Mesmer-Guard? im going to level all of them, but i think maybe i should level the clothies, then medium, then heavy. any imput or oppinnions on what i should do????

There is no way for anyone but you to determine which order to level your professions in. Just play whatever you find to be the most fun at the time. Some people level their characters one at a time, others level all of their characters evenly at the same time (level them all to 10, then all to 11, then all to 12, etc.). Have fun!

I say Create all 3 bring each one to level 10 or 15 and which ever you find the most fun go with that one.

Mesmer: if you want to be a sneaky caster with crappy AoE damage but really good team support and focus fire Guardian: if you want to hop into battle and swing away, or stay at the back lines and read a book Necro: if you like to have pets follow you around, throw down effect over time AoEs, and move around with crazy particular effects with swarm or death shroud

I agree with the others. I have one of every profession but I level them at different rates depending on how I am feeling with them at the time or what playstyle I feel like. Honestly, there is no way someone else can tell you which is better because what is fun for one person may not for another (like my wife doesn't love mesmer at all yet I love it a heap). This is a non-sub game: There will be plenty of time to try them all :)

(Not including the other professions I have) I started and put aside the profs in this order: Necro - Found it quite fun, pets can get annoying when they go off and do their own thing. Guardian - Loved the idea, never really got into the class (I prefer to play them ranged) She's 16. Currently leveling a Mesmer [GSword/Staff] and having a blast. For a clothie they're pretty good at holding their own and can be very handy in WvW. She will probably be the first one I level. Hope that helps.

Since you asked for an opinion - I'll give you one. I think the Necro is more interesting to play - lots of versatility but it is a matter of doing AE's and watching multiple foes die as you evade, dodge, and run around leading them to their death. In PvE you can use pets and almost never get hit - but if your pets die - you can be in a world of pain yourself and there is no telling if you can get them back in the fight quick enough. If you become the master of Wells and Marks - you'll more than likely never use a pet. - You lay down marks and then lead your victims through them - then hit the Wells and watch them melt - switching it up with a variety of weapons you can mix to gain health, do retaliation, DD, siphon health, or more AE's. Mesmer is trickier - they aren't easy to level but can be a great support class and you can pick a variety of playstyles with them also. There are no big flashy spells - but they have some fairly good DD but do lack AE unless you learn to functionally shatter your illusions and clones - the shatter build as they call it. This can do a lot by adding condions - albeit random in aspect - as well as their AE damage to foes near your target. They have high survivability if you focus on the Glamor line with stealth abilities - which also detarget you and regardless of what people say about only fools can't tell the real mesmer from their clones - when they steal away into the abyss - it is only the fool of a mesmer that doesn't get lost in the shell game. Especially in a crowded WvWvW environment. I think of the three - they are the most challenging. The Guardian - well - they have high survivability - and can be great in PvE and hard to kill in WvWvW. But as with all classes - when you get focussed by 5 other players you are probably going to die - especially if they know enough to rip away your boons. I leveled 5 characters at first to 10 - then to 20 - then 4 to 40 - of all the ones I leveled the Necro was the first to 80, then the Engineer, and my ranger is now at 77. I have an Ele at 25 now and I started reworking the Mesmer - who I have deleted and redone several times. I also deleted a level 40 thief to try others since I'm not mush into melee. One thing I will say is beware... several people who leveled heavy armor characters say that they spoil you as the clothies are just so squishy it becomes frustrating to level them. But, I will also say - that once you level a clothy - leveling a heavy armor wearer can be a little boring - clothies keep you on your toes a lot more while you avoid death. So for me - it would be Necro, Guardian, Mesmer.... Although Guardian just wasn't my playstyle and at lvl 20 they were delelted to try Warrior :) Above all else - have fun.

If you're planning to level all 8 classes, does the order really matter? If you find yourself bored or disinterested in a class, then its not making it to 80, anyway.

Ok the advice to create all 3 and lvl them to 10 and see which you like , is a good overall strat however some classes start out rather lackluster and as the progress in lvls start to shine . The mesmer is a great example of this pre lvl 30 you`ll find it diffcult killing stuff esp even lvl or a lvl or 2 higher , once you get to 30 it starts to pick up and at 40 + it`s pretty much easy mode. I remember at 20 i was having hell killing a lvl 21 moband at 40 i was fighting 3 or more lvl 43 mobs with ease at the same time . I don`t have a necro but do have a 80 guard, a 80 eng and a 75 mesmer , of those i find the mesmer the most fun however i don`t do pve dung, or fractals etc got burned out on pve grind years ago . I do WvW sadly whatever they did last month makes me lag out in WvW now with more then 20 on each side i have a 20 sec delay on ablities , mesmer is great for small scale skrimsh play as well as large scale zergs like our events . Guardian is very easy to lvl also and can be fun as well due to low hp base you`ll need to dodge a lot , and for lvling purpose Greatsword with Hammer as sec wep is a great setup with power crit armor etc, this is for soloing . once you get to 80 you can change gear , weps etc to whatever you like .

I'm glad you talked more on the Mesmer Dirddarling - I am having a heck of a time leveling (just to 15 atm) and it is exactly what I had heard - they are frustrating to level but they have a nice peak around 40. And with that in mind anyone doing them might ust want to do the mesmer first. Otherwise they might "delete" them since they are frustrating at times. I'm going to keep going on mine - they are one of the more slippery classes to fight in WvWvW and they are a great benefit to a squad. But... Sek is also right... if you really plan on leveling every class - just pick one and get moving.

on the mesmer part if you are having a really tough time due to lvl range and don`t have a cook crafter etc , you can get a few lvls boost with cooking . it`s what i did and yea i always plan on lvling all 3 toons ie lvl 1 for 3 lvls then switch and level another one 3 lvls etc however in all my years of mmos even tho i start out that way by time i hit 20 on one he ends up getting lvled first lol . still having more then 1 alt is a nice break i think i hit 80 on my guardian and my eng and elmental was 35 ish my mesmer was 10 . if i did switch toons it`d be like for every 6 or so lvls on 1 toon i`d pick up 1 or 2 lvls on another , for those getting frustated with the mesmer at low lvl just hang in there , between 30 and 40 it gets a lot easier and the class is very fun to play i rarely even log on my 80 guard and 80 eng anymore .
