General question

I'm pretty new and trying to figure out how to use the forums/discord to connect with people playing various games. As an example, If I woke up with an urge to play [INSERT RANDOM GAME HERE],  what's the best way to see who's interested in playing? I assume it would be discord, but not sure about the right channels/etiquette.

Thanks!

Definitely Discord is best place to find friends for games. You can use general chat and also adventure discussion. There are many games which are played and games are tied into social adventures so there are also game specific channels. To see the channels, you have to have game specific role set in Discord. To get game specific role, you can set it from channel-access-settings channel from discord. Just click on appropriate reaction and Discord bot sets the role for you and also if you want to remove role, just click reaction again. And as always you can just send PM to elders and we will help you best we can.

Hopefully this clarified things little bit :)

The most important thing in life will always be the people around you. Salud, mi familia.

Yes, both discord and the forums here can help find people to play with.  You might also look at what adventures exist, and see if people are playing those games that you are interested in.  This can put you together with people already playing, which helps a lot.

Generally if the game has a role already, it has a text channel you can use.  If not, then Adventure discussion is a good channel usually, although people are not guaranteed to have interest.

Just remember that people are busy, have their own interests, and sometimes nobody is currently interested in a title.  For example, I have been casually jaunting about in LOTRO for years, and only in the last couple have we had much group interest there (and some of that vanishes as people see if they really like a game, which is normal).
