I'm almost embarrassed by this. I have been playing ESO since beta test days and it was only this week that I discovered this trick when harvesting a stack of resource surveys.
I had normally made my way to the location to harvest the resources, marked the location on my map, then wandered away for a while, killed some MOBs and headed back to see if the resource nodes respawned. Sometimes the respawn was fast, and other times it was more than 10 minutes before it respawned.
I discovered that if you get to the resource survey location, harvested the resources, pull up the map and travel to a home you don't own (preview), exit the home, the game drops you back at the exact location where you were in the world, and the resource is ready to harvest again, repeat as needed.
This may be something that is common knowledge, but I just discovered it for me.
