So I was in the first wave of GSCH during the beta and launch etc. but for some reason, I can't remember why, I quit playing. I'm kind of getting stale on games lately and since I've reupped and requit all the other AAA titles (WoW, FFXIV, RIFT), I figured I've give ESO a go again. I've logged in with my Wood Elf Knightblade. I am level 50 and Champion 10 - and I don't even remember what that means, lol. I've got a bank full of stuffs I don't recognize. All my skills are reset. My equipment bonus is 3 stars. I've got 7 quests (at least that can lead me into learning the game again) and the main quest is at Caldwell's Silver - Experience the Daggerfall Covenant. I've also got 900 crowns and 53k gold. So where should I start? Any advice on how I should get reacquainted with the game? I'm going to see about getting a fresh build and skill guide from Google before I just dive in, of course. If I get the scratch I need for this gaming itch, I'll sub up with the ESO Plus and start playing full time again.

Well of course I can't leave well enough alone, so I'm going bow/bow nightblade at least until I decide if I'm sticking around. I'll probably switch to my true calling of dunmer bow/bow warden if I sub up - damn shame that class didn't exist at launch! Am I correct that all I have to do is level 1 to 50 on any class and then it automagically assumes the same champion level?

yep, as soon as you hit 50, your toon is at your max champion points.  but those CP's can be used on any baby toon, so if possible try to hit CP 330 or so to make leveling much more enjoyable.  Bow/bow is a good way to go, it's not a bad idea to level dual wield on your 2nd bar cause at some point you'll want to use it.

Much of my melee nightblade skills are leveled up somewhat as that is how I leveled previously, so I can easily fall back on it if necessary. My dual wield and even 1h+shield are both at nearly 40 - can a nightblade even tank?!

Ugh, I was looking at switching to a new character, warden, but then I realized I'd have to do *everything* over again - all the guild stuff, main quest, recipe collections, not to mention all the achievements and lore books. I think I'll stick with the nightblade.

Like doreth said, leveling is much faster now. And frankly it's fun doing some of the content again. Also, since you have Morrowind, you'll have Vvardenfell to quest in and it has some fantastic stories... And more Naryu.... Prrrrrr. Plus you have all the DLC zones for content, new dungeons, PvP, etc. You could literally level a few characters in the new content alone and never set foot in the legacy zones.

Main thing is have fun! You have a lot of new things to discover and that's an adventure too.

Can I get a guild invite in game. Just reinstalled ESO to play with a couple friends. I can't AVA with them since they are on AD but figured I could still do some things with GSCH.

Please do not enable Pookha by giving him a Fiery Great Sword.

"With the new level up rewards..."

Even before they added the level-up perks, I found it useful to start with new characters when I restarted the game last summer. I, too, played at launch and quit. It's a much richer and easier to play game now.
