Well since we didn't set anything up official like how about I throw this out there.
on day 1 of (enter month here) a forum post is opened up with GSCH book club voting. Then everybody who wants to would open a reply and simply write the title of the book they want to cast as their vote. At the end of the month the votes are counted and the one with the highest amount of votes is the book for the 1st of the very next month....basically the day after the votes are tabulated. At the top of each new thread of voting there will be a tally of all the old votes for each book and the book we just read will be marked as read. So people can vote for those same books or add another but you will have an idea of the past votes.
This allows us to read a book a month and vote on the next book that same month. It is a simplified solution so we can keep everything herre on our home site :).
Example of a 2nd month voting thread.
Enders Game - read
Stardust - 23 votes
Name of the wind - 20 votes
Fellowship of the Ring - 15 votes
*etc...*
begin voting for the next book.
people would reply with their book title only. At the end all of the votes are tallied and we read that book and the votes are "added" to the existing tally from before with the exception of the book we read..it will be marked "read". Note that the cumlitive tally is just to give people an idea on where the votes have been going and will not add or impact directly the actual vote taking place in that thread. Its just nice info to have to see where the last vote ended up. who knows it may influence your vote this time.
