So Little Resistance

By: Kaytlin

Our intrepid band of warriors ventured into the lands of Sea of Sorrows this morning. We attempted to make contact with our enemies many times but were unsuccessful until our last objective. It seams that the leaders of SOS are few and far between and those that do appear, run from the sight of the might Gaiscioch War Banner. We took much of their lands at in fact several times owned all of the land for as far as the eye could see. This became somewhat boring for our hardened band of veterans, we all longed for a good battle with our foes. Eventually we did find a decent sized group of their warriors. We were attmepting to take a tower known as Longview which lies west of their garrison, for those who are unfamiliar with their lands. They tried to approach from the west but our scouts were alert and let us know of their coming. We turned to face them and fight only to find that many ran into the tower to take refuge from our onslaught. I decided to try and lure them from the protection of their tower by setting up an arrow cart and trebuchet on the western approach to the tower. The commander of the SOS team was not experienced as he only sent his forces to attack our ground troops, never venturing far enough to damage our seige. We attacked any seige they tried to set up on the ramparts of the tower and began to poison their supplies. I ordered the trebuchet to begin bombardment of their walls, and still they resisted the need to attack the seige. This was fine with our experienced band as it allowed them to gain many rewards from the few who ventured forth. Finally the walls of the tower collapsed and I ordered the attack to begin, we took out the trebuchet that they had just competed in the courtyard of the tower and commenced our attack on their lord. I must say that they finally gave us a good fight on the ramparts of their tower, but it was too late. Our fearless warriors felled the Lord and his supporting troops, and the remainder of the SOS that tried to defend and took a well deserved win!
