Issues Resolved... Healer Back In Action!

Well, in the past I've always preferred playing healer characters in most games. With WAR I had some issues with the addons that assist with healing.

Apparently WAR does not support it's mods having slash commands and you actually need a mod to enable this so that other mods can be setup appropriately. *rolls eyes*

But now that this is done I can actually play my healer without wanted to rip out my hair in frustration! So Healing here I come!

Now... I just need to find someone of appropriate rank online when I am to invite my healer to the guild =P

Impressed By Castles

Well, a huge change between Tier 2 and 3 seems to be the castes. I thought attacking forts was impressive but castles place a whole new spin on it.

These things are huge! With not only the standard fort inside but some great walls as a first line of defense they definitely take more effort to breach when there are defenders.

I must say however that I feel weak again. Even with the great influence gear from Tier 2 I'm getting ripped to shreds much quicker in Tier 3.

Guess it's time to gear up again. See you all in Tier 3!

Looking forward to Tier 3

Well, had a great time tanking the oRVR in Tier 2 with tonight's pickup. Was a blast! The Warband roamed for hours and aside from one staggering defeat at Madreds we kicked Destructions butt!

I hit 18/18 tonight and got to get some of those purple influence rewards. After claiming them I realized I would not be on this battle field much longer.

What a shame, I've had a great time out there. Oh well, I'm sure there are many more fun battles to be had in Tier 3... though I'm sure I'll get to feel like a newb all over again.

Well, goodnight. And for those of you still in the field, good luck!

Oh My... What a big tick

Had an amazing night in RvR last night. Joined a small 6 man group that eventually grew to a 2 WarBand Zerg. Destruction made a good show of things as well and it made for a really fun battle.

We actually managed to lock the zone and to quote someone from the Tier 2 RealmWar channel "Oh My... That was a big tick"

To sweeten the night, I actually won one of those high end bags from a keep defense and pulled out a devastator Corslet. I can't equip the thing for 10 more levels, but that doesn't stop me from ogling over it in my inventory!

Last Note: After that keep defense I have more respect for my skill "Hold The Line!" than ever before.

Server Maintanance

We all know it's needed but it still sucks when the servers go down for a few hours a week in games like this.

I had just found a nice warband in Tier 2. Destruction was harassing us nicely for some great influence and then... the server shut down *sigh*

Oh well, perhaps tonight or tomorrow morning I can find another good group again. Here's hoping!

Into the Tier 2

Well, I've started into Tier 2 and things are a lot different. The first thing I noticed was how quite it is here. Not the huge group of people running around and while I've joined a couple of war-bands there are not as many in the RVR area.

On an upside, the teams in scenarios seem a little more knowledgeable about what to do… well, not sure if this is an upside as I feel like a complete newb!

In the RvR area, the few warbands I find seem very interested in capturing the objectives instead of simply standing at the destruction entrance and ranging them. A big change from Tier 1!

Took down my first keep, was definitely but not too challenging as there wasn't many destruction there. Still was fun however!

First Entry

Well, I'm new to the game and found this guild called Gaiscioch that people very much recommended and here I am! Hope to join in on those guild activities very soon!

It's been a learning experience for sure, I usually play a healer in MMO's and started that way in Warhammer.
I did pretty well, ended on the top of most healing charts but to to some add-on frustrations I dropped my healer.

Tried some melee and ranged DPS and let's just say I didn't perform as well and it was more of an embarrassment to play as them than it was fun.

So, I rolled myself my current knight and am trying for a survivable, crowd controlling, buff/debuff build and loving it.

**

Just a fun story, was playing Kaines embrace this morning and felt like a god! We were pushing towards their objective. I rushed into their back lines and started swinging.

Apparently, the front line shifted away from me leaving me alone and without healer support against 2 healers and 5 ranged DPS. I at less then half life and thought I was toast as they focus fired on me...
