So, here's the thing. DR has advised us, the newer level 70's, to prepare for things like TD by doing some expert runs for gear and such. Yesterday I used LFG, stayed in the q for about a half hour or so; then took the summon. I'm in a five man pug group and at first, I had no idea where I was or more importantly, what to do. How hard could it be? Just do what everyone else does. This plan does not work. I am going to share the result, but not the whole story. I received, a great chest piece and some other loot and tokens; and credit for the last boss, Ahnket, Temple of; or possibly Comet of; and I did it all while dead, never even finishing the first encounter. The other four breezed through in 30 minutes.
Here is the advice part. Read everything you can about what you are signing up for. Surprises in there are not fun, not knowing what is going on or why it is going on, is not fun. Fog is not there in your ear telling you what to do, where to stand, etc. I think that we should form a plan and ask someone in the guild to take us into these events, so we can learn. Knowledge is a good thing; it does lead to far less embarrassment. Learning in a pug group with four people who have probably been in the instance many times, will not be a learning experience. In my opinion.
DR's advice was spot on. I did get a great chest piece.
