Barren's Research Spreadsheet Updated 4/5

Hi everyone!!! 

Just a few days ago I made a spreadsheet to help me keep track of what I can research and what I have already researched.  This has proved to be immensely useful for me and my brother.  So I included the template we have been using.  You could add a page for other people you try to coordinate with.  Here is the google docs for it.  Just download the file as excel and upload it to make it your very own. I spruced up my template a little bit so it is more visually appealing. Also I included a couple charts I made about the length in time it will take to master all traits.  Looking at the numbers putting the 3 points in the researching passive makes quite the difference. Enjoy and feel free to include more feedback!

Thanks, Also my other suggestion would be to throw your researchables into the mail system via return to sender, once the mail system comes back online of course

Definitely useful. Did some editing to personalize it and visually make it more appealing, but great foundation for a useful tool. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback.  I know it's visually cut and dry.  I may add some background colors to it and other stuff.  I just felt that most people would either never think of using one or just never put in the time to do it initially so I wanted to put this out there.  My brother and I are using this to some really nice success...He'll highlight the ones that he would like when I empty my bags I make them and ship them off.  And we could look at each other's sheets without needing to ask, which is also really nice.  

Oh and DEFINITELY get the Craft Research Timer addon. It helps.

Glad to know Vyse.  Hope it all works out well... Oh one other thing to note, in Woodworking when you look in the Create tab, the order is different and the weapon names are different than in the research tab.  So I don't know if that will change but just make a note of it.

Thanks Barren! I made one very similar on my google drive for traits, but I haven't ever looked at how to make it open for others to see. If I figure out how I will share it with you so you can see if I have any items researched that you need.

I use one very similar.  I will try to upload it later.  (Currently on desktop and it is saved on the work laptop)  

One thing I added to mine was a notation for items I had on my crafting alt. (I dont craft on my main)  This way, any items I dumped into my bank I knew if I already had the trait stored away to research.  And if that trait was already stored away to be researched then I knew the duplicates could be deconstructed.

One thing I would really like to see is a list somewhere of who has which traits they may be able to trade for the ones that have eluded me.  This way we could swap items to get traits we were missing.  We could even use your google docs and add additional tabs for us fellow crafters.  We would just need to be added to the document to edit.   Then we could create our own tabs and fill in what we have researched.  just an idea.

I also made a couple changes and made a template version.  If someone accesses the Google Doc with the link provided they could copy the template, rename the new tab with their name and create their own chart.  With this link, anyone would be able to see all the traits the others have researched.  However, with it possible to edit for anyone with this link, it could be completely deleted.  IF there becomes any issues I would have to lock the document.  Then users would have to sign up via email and be added to the document.

If people are interested in this, and would prefer it to be locked from the start, that could be arranged as well.

I saw a mod that puts an icon beside in red for not done and green for complete.

This helps in determining what you can research.

Awesome.  I will use this. 

One thing to note with that addon is that it won't count with things that are currently researching.  For example if I have a charged fire staff researching it will still show the item as red until I have finished researching.  Hope there is a way around that...But otherwise great addon. Also added an update. Hope you like it!
