As if players were not excited enough about the possibility of having another chapter-tiered contender dropping sometime around summer this year. News has arrived this month that Amazon Game Studios will be the Western publisher for the game with the publishing rights for North / South America, Japan, Oceania, and Europe.
This means that the vast majority of our friends will be able to join us in Throne and Liberty which is shaping up to be a game that could be perfectly suited for a Chapter (200+ people} sized adventure. While AGS hasn't had the best luck developing games, they have recently become one of the top MMORPG Publishers in the industry. Signing on Lost Ark, Blue Protocol, and now Throne and Liberty, they have solidified their lineup of MMORPGs which far dominates any other competitor. Combined with the development power of NC Soft who brought us Guild Wars 1 and 2, Aion, Wildstar, the Lineage series, and Blade and Soul, we're looking at a high probability of a successful MMORPG.
There certainly is a lot to be excited about and in the coming months, we should have our first chance to go hands-on with the new title.
