Upcoming Changes to War & The Family Vault

Being Mythic is yet again undooing all the hard work i've put in Annihilator - Warlord items will all be moved to Pristine values starting on Patch day. If you have donations get them in now before the cut. Most of the gear will be much easier to get your hands on post patch so we will likely be giving away our surplus during our events. It sounds like it may all be purchasable with gold so if thats the case I will remove the pieces all together from the system. Which will leave the only thing in the Family Vault which is purchasable is sov jewelry and talismans. It's an unfortunate play Mythic but what can we do. Yet another part of the game getting easy moded.


1.4.1 Patch Notes:

The Renown Rank and level requirements for several item sets have been reduced to allow players to use them sooner in their careers. This applies to the following sets: Annihilator, Conqueror, Invader, and Warlord.

* Annihilator – Level 25 to use, equipable at renown ranks 25-29
* Conqueror – Level 35 to use, equipable at renown ranks 30-35
* Invader – Level 39 to use, equipable at renown ranks 40-45
* Warlord – Level 40 to use, equipable at renown ranks 54-60

With the new ranks for the above sets, a new armor set has been added to fill in the gap between Warlord and Sovereign. This new set is named as "worn" and will be available from some shady merchants in the less populated areas of the capital cities. The set will not be as powerful as normal Sovereign, but will give a good interim edge for players as they move up in ranks. It requires level 40 to use and is equipable at renown ranks 63-70.

It is confirmed, the Merchant at the Docks in Altdorf sells Conq - Worn Sov gear for Gold instead of medals. Once this patch goes live all Anni - Warlord donations will be awarded Pristene credit and be used as prizes durring our events. You can buy a full worn sov set for around 50 gold.

Does that also apply for weapons? No more SC grinding then? lol.

Nope. You'll still be grinding weapons. The enlarged rr 100s are an interesting idea. They look like warlords.

I don't know... Some of these changes sound interesting.. At least on paper. I like the fact they're at least trying to even out the playing field. It wont get Iso or my subs back, but I feel it's at least a start in the right direction. As for this making it easy mode, I don't really agree. I'd rather see PVP that has everyone on equal standing, and it's left up to the players to beat the others with planning, organization, and traps.

With regards to the armor changes, I think this was a natural extension of the rvr pack experience boost and the renown level expansion. My gripe is that this should have been implemented with 1.4 and not months later on. They should have realized that pre-36 toons would cap out on ridiculously fast with the rvr pack and that 80+ renown players would mow through the 40-60 renown players. I think these changes will help keep some WAR players from leaving. But this might be a too little too late thing for most players.

Another Band-aid on the large broken leg in my opinion. I have agree they should have implemented this with 1.4. I really enjoyed the game but Mythic just keeps making it harder and harder to enjoy it.
