Last year I came off a Perfect World International 6 year stint. I was finally burnt out. I have searched and played many games since~ Aion, Shaiya, Tera, RoM, Neverwinter, you get the gist.

Along the way, I found a large guild that catered to many different games (like this one) and noticed something odd. They also didn't have a section dedicated to PWI..nobody played it! How could I have been playing a game for so long, one I thought EVERYONE played (like Runescape, I mean who didn't play that? LOL), but nada, zilch, zip.

I am going to ask here, as I did there but got no response, why is PWI largely ignored in the MMO world? Is there something I don't know about it, or is it not really considered a true MMO? It's kind of baffling me tbh. I still can't bring myself to delete it and check in periodically so I don't lose my characters!

BTW, I followed that guild to GW2 but had absolutely no problem dropping it when Fog invited my newb on a multi-map adventure of killing some fun bosses....oh! the fun, the adventure, the loot! And GSCH did it all for fun, no strings. Best GW2 day yet =)

I played the original Perfect World in US beta and upon its official US release back in 2008. Overall it was a fun game but suffered from many of the same issues as most Eastern MMOs that eventually you were forced to spend hours upon hours killing the same things over and over just to level up and do the same thing on a different mob or map. This was even worse for tank (which I was, a Panda named Pandamonium) and healer classes since they killed things noticeably slower.

The Territory Wars were fun but eventually super hardcore players and cash shop big spenders greatly out leveled even those of us who played every day and it just lost its luster.

I played PWI back in 2008/2009. My bf convinced me to play by telling me he could carry my character around and i thought that was just super cute. We played on the Lost City server, I played a wizard (lvl 101 if i remember correctly). The territory wars were fun. I had dial up back then and trust me when i tell you that being on a pvp sever with bad internet was not cool. Sometimes before i could even cast 1 skill off my toon was dead on the ground. I ended up making a lot of friends on there and got to the point i just logged in and sat around town showing off my 50 dollar lion and the hundreds of dollars of fashion i bought. I eventually logged in one day and dropped all my fashion that wasn't bound and all my items except that lion :p Overall the game was just okay the people made it great. miss them!

Totally legit answers....I, too, had gotten to the point of 'been there, done that'. Even went to a private server, but once you max out, that's it. Boredom. I have come to find out that I despise end game, no matter what game it is. Especially since I refuse to spend money on one!

"Perfectly" understood, and ty for satisfying my wandering curiosity ;)
