Destiny for Xbox One

Just bought an Xbox One yesterday, just waiting for it to be shipped now. A friend of mine is giving me Destiny and all DLC included.

Anyone else here play? My gamertag is, "Tayto Seal".

I was going to get it when it first launched, but then it had such mixed reviews I put it off.  Now, between COD with the 2 older grandkids, Borderlands with the daughter, GW2, ESO, packing to move, watching the grandkids a couple of times a week... well, I think you get the picture    I have finally run out of time for new games  :(

@Morigana Don't worry about it then. I just want to know who here is playing. Yes, there were some mixed reviews, but reviews from over a year ago aren't relevant anymore now that 2.0 is out.

Well, let me know what you think of it.  Both my grandkid have it - but they haven't played for over 6 months.

I'll let you know what I think. My Xbox One is due to arrive on the 16th. My friend instead of buying the game for me, is just giving me a $100 gift card. So that's around $60 for the game and $40 to spend on other stuff. Depending on how much I like Destiny, I'll see if I can spend it on cosmetics if there are any in micro-transaction.

I do want to go for the Blue/White look to match my Harp Seal based character, Tayto.

So far I'm having a great time.

From what I understood the two main issues were the grind and the FPS Cap to 30.

I played for less than 12 hours and I'm already almost level 20. The level cap is 40.

New players get a "Shard of Light" that increases 1 character's level to 25 instantly with the new expansion. This is so new players can play with their friends and raid with them without having to go through a lot of the beginning content. I'm saving it for the second character I make.

The FPS cap has gone up to 45 I think.
