Greetings Everyone,
I've got a couple of topics I'd like to bring up. As many of you know I try to be as transparent as possible and keep you all in the know as much as I can. First and foremost this month we've chosen a few more elders to join the team to replace a few that we lost in our Guild Wars 2 chapter.
New Elders Join the Team
I would like to thank Soren and Oldgoat for accepting the responsibilities with becoming an Elder of the family. This is a huge sacrifice for them but both of them are used to the roles and responsibilities that come with this position. Both of them have been providing guidance to members since they first joined and have been of the elder mind ever since.
Soren - Is known for her oddball Tequatl runs and comedic attitude. She's fought with us on the battlefield and played an instrumental part in forming our family in GW2 and ESO. She has participated in Pioneer teams and has also done a lot of research to help keep us educated on burning topics.
Oldgoat - Ok who doesn't know Oldgoat, and what hole have you been hiding in. He is one of the funnest most loving people we have in Guild Wars 2. He's written guides for our magazine, walked my mom through dungeons (a task not even I brave), and has been an all around great guy to hang out with, ask questions, and take advice from.
We look forward to having these two on the team help plan out the road ahead for Guild Wars 2.

Family studying abroad
Additionally this past week we've had several members including my good friend Spartan decide to seek a bigger more competitive fight on foreign soil. Spartan, Foxy, Phonzo, and Aingeal departed for Jade Query for the time being to spend some time on a more competitive front. This is ok. They are still family, they are still welcome at our events, and they will resume their place in the ranks as soon as they return from their adventures.
I want to put this out there right now to all of you. This has not changed and is not new. If you're not having fun where you're at, seek a change and find your happiness. That goes for anyone. Elder, non-elder, new member, or not even a member of the family. Player satisfaction is far more important than the tag above your head. While I will miss having my favorite dagger squad on the battlefield with me I can not blame them one bit. They melt the zergs we face, have no real challenge and things have gone boring for them. They need the thrill of the hunt, the adrenalin rush that comes from fighting someone better than yourself, they simply can't find that here. Their leaving the server may remove them from the roster but as easy as they left they can come back and be welcomed back with open arms. Spartan was an elder and will be an elder when he returns.
I really want to avoid anyone having any animosity here, I do not feel any and I actually encourage them to chase what it is their after just as I would all of you. Remember once family always family. We may go away to college but family always finds their way home. I love you all and want the best for all of you. Please encourage them if you encounter them and if you see them in PvE feel free to join up with them. I know Aingeal wants to continue running PvE events for the family and thats ok. He will continue acting as a Gaiscioch/Tuatha without actually being in the In Game family.
In Closing
Gaiscioch is a fluid community, we change and adapt as the current changes. I encourage you all to seek out fun wherever it may happen and always keep your enjoyment at it's max. Happy players make for happy communities. Take care everyone and thank you!
"Once Family, Always Family."
