I have to say. I have really high hopes for EQN.  Forty classes?.... Holy sweet mother of... that's a lot of classes.  Unfortunately as I'm watching the video, I just can't keep a nagging fact out of my mind set. The fact being that EQN release is still so far away. In fact I don't think they've truly nailed down a projected release date have they? That being said, I can easily see EQN being the mmo that I can truly immerse myself in and spend years playing it.  Just the combat alone sounds like it will take me a good long time to be any good at.  Then throw in a massive world to explore, countless quests and stories, crafting and then on top of it all an ever changing world.  My biggest hope is that level cap takes a good long time to get to and end game gear is so hard to get, that your very lucky to get one piece a month.  At least that's my hope.

Good video. Lot's of juicy info. Thank you for sharing.

SOE makes really good games.  Everquest 1&2 and Planetside 1&2 are testaments to that fact.  The fail ones that they've had, they've either bought or did not own the IP and had the IP's owner interfering with their development and operation (coughLucasArtscough).

Landmark is not my cup of tea and I'm irritated that they're selling Beta access (folks have no idea how much I'm hating this new trend by the industry and my feelings about its negative effects on game development), but I'm expecting that Everquest Next will indeed be another SOE gangbuster title.
