A New Elder Scrolls Adventure - The Great Hunts of Cyrodiil - Wednesdays 5-8PM PST

Greetings Everyone,

I am going to run a little experiment with our Wednesday night events. Our population has died down to the point where we aren't a formidable opponent on the field and have a hard time taking keeps. We have an abundance of non-VR players who desperately need to level up and learn about AvA so that we can rebuild our core. Additionally I want to create a platform to introduce players outside of Cyrodiil to the Cyrodiil life. 

So for the next 5 weeks I will be hosting the Great Hunts of Cyrodiil. Each week we will focus on a different sector. I have Divided AvA into 5 target locations each of with, come with a quest hub. Here's the plan:

* All Events Take Place on Thornblade

• 11/12: Week 1: The Hunt of Bruma
• 11/19: Week 2: The Hunt of Chorrol
• 12/3: Week 3: The Hunt of Vlastarus
• 12/10: Week 4: The Hunt of Cropsford
• 12/17: Week 5: The Hunt of Cheydinhal

Each week we will do the quests in the quest hub, protect the castles, siege the camps, siege the outposts in our region. We will do our best with what we got. If we end up with 20+ in attendance we'll lay siege to some castles and if we are mostly lower levels we will grab some skyshards, close some dark anchors, and explore some caves. It all depends on who shows up with what. I am hoping this will help players get some exp and skills to help make us more effective on the battlefield.

this could be fun,  hope you all come in style (hint hint to all my Werewolf puppies)  this will be a good time for use to lvl them in style....  since we need help with numbers in Fogs event lets all jump in here and have some fun werewolf style...

Is it possible that we could do this in some other campaign other than Thornblade?  The queue for the Ebonheart Pact for Thornblade has increased since 1.5. It's a pretty competitive campaign between all three alliances now and if we use up slots for questing, that handicaps our alliance in the war. I've been doing the skyshard and dolmen events on Azura's Star for both those purposes. While we were on Azura's Star last night doing the dolmen run, we saw activity from both AD and DC, so if that keeps up, there still would be a possibility of AvA if we had a large group.

Deacon, I really want to have a packed battlefield for this. This will give us more opportunity to introduce players to AvA without being the sole focus of attack. If we are the only ones on the battlefield it really hurts our ability to teach as all enemies will be focused on us. With a populated world we can be overlooked. My hopes is I can do what I did with Guild Wars 2 and use PvE to lure players into AvA so that we can introduce them to fun PvP. This is not only a PvE event. We will be doing a fair amount of PvP. Last week was a test to see the time requirement to complete a quest hub and it usually takes about an hour. Leaving us 2 more to PvP.

I only caught the last 45 minutes or so of the event, heard a bit of it while waiting in queue, but I liked what I heard and saw, Fog. Great event and great idea.

It was a lot of fun and quite rewarding on a lowbie toon at least.   I would wholeheartedly endorse this for anyone wishing to get their feet damp in the AvA arena or just wanting to have  a good time with the Family.  There is a lot of PvE stuff that is done but we also get to do skirmishes with the other factions and take some resources.  I went up over one full level and made some gold and collected some items - not to mention ranking up in the Fighter's Guild by doing the Dolmens. 

It was also quite a hoot to watch Doreth and his pack turming into wolves and chomping on the bad guys.  ;)

have to admit feasting on DC and AD was quite rewarding lol :)

I like the event idea a lot.
