I'm a bit lost but I thought I saw somewhere on our site where we could give Kudos or a virtual hats off to other family members that went out of their way to help others via time/ knowledge/ crafting. Is there such a place or a point system where these individuals can be thanked besides just in-game?
As far as I know only tokens of valor can be given to event leaders for events you attended. But there might be something else, and if not you may have brought up a valuable discussion.
Perhaps a small amount of Family Honor points or something where only the receiver would know where the thanks came from, maybe listed in their account profile (privately) that may discourage abuse and still give the admins a way of tracking? I'm no web guru, I just try to find ways to encourage kindness, "Build up a person's strengths and their weaknesses will become less prevalent as well".
PM them and say thanks. I like to do that when I'm not able to give a token of valor.
