Persistance Prevails

Last night was a first veteran dungeon venture for CrazyRoyal and Mairel, and I am glad to say a successful one.
It took a bit of adjustment to ease into our party but by the time we reached High Kinlord Rilis, we had a good method and rhythm to our pulls and group dynamic. Rilis was, however, a bit of a bubble burster and a harsh test of HP, DPS, and reaction time. The combination of adds and targeted AOE fire storms was the source of much frustration and many wipes.
What really saved the night, however, was communication. What had initially been a pretty quiet Vox channel, with the exception of boss strategy run downs and the sound of heads banging against walls, eventually became exactly what it should always be: players calling out the position of the teleporting boss, announcing debuffs, calling out adds and/or DPS priorities, calling out for help when they saw trouble coming (not after it was too late), announcing loose adds and that they were bringing them to the tank or holding them in position for taunting - a constant back and forth of much needed information with a few inside jokes thrown in (Calgon, take me away!). It took an hour and a half and way too many close calls before we finally took Rilis down, a feat that likely could have been claimed sooner if we had not been dead set on taking home our gold keys!
